This article explains how to reset a forgotten password, and how to change your password when you are already signed in.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. On the Login tab, click Forgot password?
  2. Enter your Email and click Send Reset Link.
  3. Open the email with the subject Reset your password and click the link. The link expires after 1 hour.
  4. Enter your New Password and Confirm Password (at least 6 characters) and click Reset Password.
  5. You see Password reset successfully! and can sign in with the new password.

Change your password while signed in

  1. Open the profile menu and go to Account Security.
  2. Under Change Password, open the dialog.
  3. Enter your New Password and Confirm New Password, then click Change Password.
  4. You are asked Log out from all other devices? Choose Logout All Devices if you think someone else might know your old password, or Not now to stay signed in elsewhere.

Troubleshooting

  1. “Invalid Recovery Link” The reset link has expired (after 1 hour) or has already been used. ✅ Solution: Click Request New Reset Link and use the newest email.
  2. “Too many requests. Please wait a few minutes before trying again.” You asked for several reset links in a short time. ✅ Solution: Wait a few minutes, then request one more link.
  3. The reset email never arrives. ✅ Solution: Check your spam folder and that the email address is spelled correctly. On the confirmation page, click Didn’t receive the email? Try again.
  4. The link opened the studio instead of the reset form. This can happen if you are already signed in on that browser. ✅ Solution: Change your password from Account Security instead, as described above.
  5. I lost my authenticator app. Kaptured AI doesn’t issue backup codes for two-factor authentication. ✅ Solution: Email aarushi@kaptured.ai from your account email to have two-factor authentication removed.
