The AI can only reproduce what it can see. Better product photos mean fewer retries and fewer wasted credits. These tips apply to every shop type.

The basics

  • Plain background. A wall, a sheet or a flat surface works. If your background is busy, turn on Erase background when you crop.
  • Even light. Daylight from a window is ideal. Avoid harsh shadows and colored light, which change how the color comes out.
  • The whole product in frame. Don’t cut off sleeves, hems or clasps. Use Smart crop to trim the extra space.
  • Sharp focus. Blurry photos give blurry details.
  • True color. Turn off beauty filters and heavy edits on your phone camera.

Which views to add

You can add up to 4 photos per product. Pick them in this order:
  1. Front: always the most important.
  2. Back: if the back is different (a zip, a print, a deep neck).
  3. Front Close-up: for embroidery, prints, stones or texture.
  4. Side or Pairing Piece: for a side slit, or the dupatta or bottom that goes with the set.
When you choose a pose from an angle you don’t have a photo for, the studio suggests adding one, for example “consider adding a Back photo of the product”. Add it for a more accurate result.

Clothing

  • Lay the garment flat or hang it straight. Folded or crumpled fabric confuses the fit.
  • A photo on a mannequin or a person is fine; the AI replaces them.
  • Set For correctly (Men, Women, Kids). It decides which models the garment fits on.

Jewelry

  • Photograph on a plain, non-reflective surface.
  • Always set Stone Type; it makes a big difference to sparkle and color.
  • Add a Size Reference view so earrings and necklaces come out at the right size on the model.

Other products

  • Show the product from the angle a customer would usually see it.
  • Add a close-up if there’s text, a label or fine texture that must stay readable.
