# Generation Troubleshooting: Errors and What They Mean

> What each studio error means and how to fix it, from missing selections to content filters and timeouts.

Something didn't generate, or the result isn't what you expected? Find your situation below.

## The generate button shows an error

These appear before anything is generated, and no credits are used. The page scrolls to the step that needs attention.

| **Please describe your photoshoot**                                                 | Fill in the **Text** tab you switched to, or switch back to **Browse**                                   |
| **Please select at least one accessory**                                            | Pick an accessory, or **Let AI Choose Accessories**                                                      |

## The generation failed

1. **"...flagged by the content filter"**
   Something in the combination of options was blocked by the safety filter.
   **✅ Solution:** Change the pose, background or style and try again. If you wrote a text prompt, reword it.

2. **"The image generator didn't return a result this time"**
   A temporary glitch.
   **✅ Solution:** Generate again. It almost always works on the second try.

3. **"The request timed out"** or **"Failed to generate images. Please try again."**
   The service was busy.
   **✅ Solution:** Wait a minute and try again.

4. **"You're out of credits to generate images."**
   **✅ Solution:** Buy a top-up or upgrade on **Billing & Plans**. See [How Credits Work](/subscription-and-billing/credits-explained).

5. **"Generation failed for {engine}"**
   With several engines selected, one failed and the others worked.
   **✅ Solution:** Generate again with just that engine.

## It's taking a long time

Most images are ready within a couple of minutes. If one takes longer you'll see "Images for {engine} are taking longer than expected. They will appear automatically once ready." You don't need to do anything: the image appears automatically when it's done.

If the **Creating Magic...** card stays for more than 10 minutes, click **Refresh** above **Generations**.

## The result doesn't look right

| Problem                             | Try this                                                                                              |
| ----------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Product color or print is off       | Use a photo in daylight with no filters. Add a **Front Close-up**                                     |
| Back of the garment is invented     | Add a **Back** photo                                                                                  |
| Jewelry is the wrong size           | Add a **Size Reference** view                                                                         |
| The model's hair covers the product | Turn on **No Hair on Clothes** in Final Settings                                                      |
| It looks too "AI"                   | Apply a **De-AI Filter** in the image viewer. See [Editing Images](/editing-and-video/editing-images) |
| Small detail is wrong               | Fix it with an edit prompt instead of regenerating                                                    |
